Chief Technical Officer (freelance consultant)

Responsible for the design, management and delivery of an Internet based career management and recruitment service for the Guardian Media Group.  The Guardian Media Group is best known for the UK national newspapers, “The Guardian” and “Observer”. 

I was responsible for hiring and managing a team of 24 development and support staff.  Responsible, also, to manage the company’s relationships with third party suppliers and service providers (some based in India) to ensure the stability of the 24x7 service.  I was responsible for financial and budgetary reporting at board level.

Successful delivery of the service concluded my assignment and the project was handed over to a new, permanently employed, team.
